Iain Laymon was promoted to Director of Player Development/Video Coordinator in June 2021 after joining the ORU men's basketball staff in 2017-18.
 
Laymon added duties in player development and is responsible for preparing student-athletes for personal, academic and athletic development success. He'll also help create and implement individual development plans to ensure student-athletes’ needs are addressed and met.
 
A native of Cambridge City, Indiana, Laymon will continue to serve as the video coordinator. In this role, he analyzes ORU and opponent film and collaborates with the coaches in preparation of competition strategy. He has elevated the program's film breakdown as well as practice analysis, assisting the coaching staff in cutting clips for scouting reports, while aiding with the collection and distribution of game film.
 
Prior to coming to ORU, Laymon worked with Coach Tom Crean at Indiana, where he earned his undergraduate degree. Laymon traveled to Liberia with Managers on a Mission for two summers before spending the 2019 summer in Israel with Athletes in Action.
 
Laymon graduated from Indiana in 2017 earning a degree in sport marketing and management and added a Leadership Master of Business Administration degree from ORU in the summer of 2020.
