Kory Alford was named the Associate Head Coach of ORU men's basketball on April 2, 2025.

Alford has spent the last five seasons as the head coach at Huntington University. Over his five-year tenure, he recorded 110 wins, including 19 victories against Top 25 opponents, leading the Foresters to an impressive 69.6% winning percentage (110-48).

Under his guidance, Huntington earned four consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearances, highlighted by the program's first national tournament win since the 2005-06 season in 2022. The Foresters reached the round of 32 three times and secured a top-three finish in the highly competitive Crossroads League on three occasions.

Alford coached two players who rank among HU's top five all-time scorers, each surpassing 2,000 career points. His players received three NAIA All-American honors and 18 All-Conference accolades, including seven First Team selections and a Player of the Year award.

Before taking the helm at Huntington, Alford served as the director of player development at Nevada, where he played a pivotal role in scouting and led a recruiting effort that resulted in nearly a dozen commitments in one year. Prior to that, he worked in multiple roles with the basketball program at his alma mater, UCLA.

During his four seasons on UCLA's staff, Alford worked as the video analytics coordinator after playing two seasons for the Bruins and two seasons at New Mexico.

As a player, Alford contributed to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including Sweet 16 runs in 2014 and 2015. In high school at La Cueva (Albuquerque, N.M.), he was part of two state championship teams. Across his college career at UCLA and New Mexico, he helped secure three conference tournament titles and two regular season championships.

A third-generation Indiana basketball figure, Alford is the son and grandson of Hoosier legends Steve and Sam Alford. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from UCLA in 2015 and a master's degree from the University of San Francisco in 2017. He and his wife, Haley, have one son, Kai.
