Mike Herrington joined the ORU Men’s Basketball coaching staff June 1, 2022, as the Director of Player Personnel. In his position, he oversees needs of players and assists them in areas off the court along with day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball office. Prior to joining the staff full-time, he served as a graduate assistant for the Golden Eagles from 2020-2022.

Herrington came to ORU after serving two seasons on the Ellsworth Community College Men’s Basketball coaching staff, as an assistant coach. During the summer of 2018, he was also on staff as an intern with The Basketball Movement based out of Nixa, Mo. He has experience in recruiting, player development, and film breakdown.

Herrington is a communications graduate and former basketball member at Evangel University. He received his masters degree in sports administration and leisure with high honors from ORU in May 2022. Herrington's parents Rich and Elizabeth live in Ames, Iowa, and sister Megan (Olson) and her husband Lute live in Hawaii.
