John Joslin joined the ORU staff as the Director of Sports Medicine in 2008-09. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in the Class of 2020 being recognized for his contributions to the profession of Athletic Training.
 
Joslin supervises all athletic training and sports medicine efforts for each of ORU’s 16 intercollegiate teams. During the winter season, Joslin travels with ORU’s men’s basketball team and he is often present at ORU home events in every sport. He came to ORU after spending the previous three years as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Developmental League. 
 
A 1988 graduate of the University of Tulsa, Joslin worked at EOOC for 23 years, where he was responsible for patient education, outreach programs for local high schools and contract event coverage. He also assisted athletic training students during clinical rotations.
 
Joslin gained valuable experience as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tulsa Ambush of the National Professional Soccer League from 1991-1992. He also served an internship with the NFL’s New England Patriots in 1986.
 
A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the former chairman of the OATA (1997-2005), Joslin is a member of the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. He is married to his wife, Julie, and also has a daughter, Mikayla, and granddaughter, Saharra.
