Before coming to ORU, he spent a year at Toledo as an Assistant Athletic Trainer working directly with the men's tennis team and was the first assistant for the football program. With the Rockets, he evaluated injury analytics and implemented reduction strategies in conjunction with the strength and conditioning staff. Rossi was crucial in aiding the program-wide COVID-19 guidelines and testing protocols. He also supervised and acted as a preceptor for the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer and work-study students.

Rossi previously worked with the Denver Broncos in the National Football League as an Athletic Trainer in 2019-20 and programmed daily rehabilitation plans for day-to-day and long-term injuries. He also collaborated with the team's registered dietician, strength and conditioning staff and sports psychologist. Before working in the NFL, Rossi spent one season as a Fellow Athletic Trainer for the Colorado football program in 2018-19 where he communicated injury status information with coaches, team physicians and staff. In addition, he supervised and oversaw scheduling for 14 sports medicine interns.

As a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the football team at Oklahoma State from 2016-18, Rossi provided collaborative patient care within a multi-faceted healthcare team. He organized NCAA, Big 12 Conference and institutional drug testing for student-athletes and tracked and recorded injury incidence in EMR. During his undergraduate tenure at Illinois State from 2013-16, Rossi spent three years completing rotations with the football, men's basketball, volleyball and softball teams.

Rossi graduated from Illinois State in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and was a designated scholar in the honors program. He added a Master of Science in Health & Human Performance/Applied Exercise Science from Oklahoma State in 2018.
