Levi Coleman is entering his 7th season on the ORU Men’s coaching staff, starting in 2019. Since working with the ORU staff, the Men’s soccer program has amassed a 60-24-13 record overall record and a 31-11-5 in the Summit League Conference. ORU has won the Summit League Regular Season 3 times, 2019, 2021,2022. The program has spent over 40 weeks ranked in the top 25 between 2019 and 2024. Since starting with ORU, the program has had 4 out 6 seasons where they have won 10+ games and has always won more games than lost. Levi has specialized in player development and his emphasis has been working with the attackers individually and as a group. He has produced 5 consecutive Summit League Offensive Players of the year between 2019-2023. 5 attacking players have gone on to play professionally from this group. Levi has helped the Head Coach Ryan Bush earn Summit League Coach of the year 3 times in 2019, 2021, 2022. Levi’s role has also included managing Academic Excellence, where the Men’s soccer program has averaged a 3.5 GPA for the last several years. His responsibilities also include recruiting, opponent scouting, and video analysis, and running training sessions. Prior to ORU, Levi Coleman was head Coach of NPSL Powerhouse, Tulsa Athletic; and in the 2 years leading the team, he earned National Coach of the Year, Regional Coach of the Year, and 2x Conference Coach of the Year, reaching the National Championship and the National Semi-Finals, amassing a record of 25-5-5.
In 2024, Levi helped produce 2 Summit League offensive Peak Performers of the week in Omar Mora and Jose Estrada. During this season, ORU tied #10 SMU and beat #24 UC Santa Barbara. The team ended the regular season 7-6-3, competing in Summit League, the 3rd strongest conference in NCAA D1. 5 of the 6 losses being narrow, 1 goal losses from top 25 teams, Denver, UMKC, and Kentucky. ORU reached #18 ranking in the Top Drawer Soccer Rankings. His two forwards, Luis Flores and Omar Mora, both signing professional contracts in USL Championship and USL 1.
In 2023, Coach Levi helped ORU Men’s Soccer finished 10-4-3, beating #23 TU and tying #17 Denver. The team was ranked 4th Nationally in NCAA D1 in total offense and goals scored. ORU finished 2nd in the regular season in the Summit League Conference. ORU produced a high scoring offense scoring 41 goals in 17 games. Luis Flores led NCAA D1 in goals scored for the majority of the year, finishing with 15 goals on the season. The team reached as high as #18 in the Top Drawer Soccer Rankings and #25 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. ORU produced the Summit League Offensive Player of the Year and Summit League Newcomer of the Year in Luis Flores. 1 midfielder from this roster, Haruki Yamazaki signed a professional contract after this season.
In 2022, Levi helped lead the program to finish with an 11-4-2 overall record and 7-1 in conference. ORU was the Summit League Conference regular season champions. Levi helped to produce the Summit League Offensive Player of the Year in Felipe D’Agostini. Levi also helped Head Coach Ryan Bush earn Summit League Conference Coach of the year. ORU received multiple votes for top 25. ORU’s offense finished in the top 5 scoring offense in NCAA D1 with 43 goals scored.
In 2021, Levi helped ORU finished 11-2-2 and 4-1-1 in conference play. The team lost in the Conference Final to Denver in penalties. While not entering the top 25, the program consistently earned over 25 to 30 votes, placing them just outside of the top 25 for the majority of the year. Levi helped produce the Summit League Offensive Player of the year in Felipe D’Agostini as well as helping Coach Ryan Bush earn Summit League Coach of the Year.
In 2020, the “Covid Year” the program went 8-4-1 overall and 6-3-1 in Conference Play. Coach Levi helped produce the Summit League Offensive Player of the Year in Dante Brigida. Dante has gone on to play professionally in the MLS Next Pro league and NISA.
In Coach Levi’s first year assisting the program, 2019, he helped lead the program to its first winning season with a 13-4 overall record and 4-1 record in Conference play. ORU won the Summit League Conference regular Season Championship. The Men’s program lost in the tournament championship game to Denver. Coach Levi helped the program reach #24 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. From a player development standpoint, Coach Levi helped produce the Summit League Offensive Player of the year in Tanguy Guerineau. He also helped forward, Reed Berry earn Summit League Newcomer of the Year. The team finished in the top 10 of NCAA D1 in scoring offense and goals scored, scoring 41 goals.
During, and prior, to his time at ORU, Coach Levi has been the Director of Coaching for the Boys program for the local soccer Club West Side Alliance, Blitz Academy, and Tulsa Athletic Youth Academy.
Prior to coaching at ORU, while also coaching club soccer, Coach Levi head coached Booker T. Washington High school for 1 season. Prior to Booker T. Washington, Levi was assistant for Union High School for 2 years, helping lead Union to the State Championship Game.
Levi’s professional playing career included 2 years in the USL with Charleston Battery, winning the championship in 2010. Levi played in 36 matches and started 15. He also had a 4 year professional indoor career playing with Kansas City Comets (MASL) in 2010-2011, Kansas Magic (PASL) in 2012-2013 and Tulsa Revolution from 2014-2016. Levi wrapped up his playing career as the all-time leading goal scorer for Tulsa Athletic in the NPSL having multiple 10+ goal scoring seasons.
In College, Levi played his senior season at UMKC in 2008, helping the Roos win the Summit League Conference. Levi earned 2nd Team All-Conference and Summit League All-Conference awards. Prior to UMKC, Levi played 3 seasons at Florida International University (FIU) earning Conference All-Freshman team. Levi earned FIU newcomer of the year award and scored a hat trick his freshman year vs Marshall.
