ORU alumnus and former Golden Eagle baseball player Nathan Garza joined the ORU Sports Performance staff June 1, 2018, after stints at both North Dakota State and Georgia Southern.
In one year at Georgia Southern, Garza was directly responsible for the year round training programs for softball, swimming and diving, and women’s tennis.
Prior to his year in Statesboro, Georgia, Garza was at North Dakota State University as a paid intern for NDSU Athletic Performance where he assisted in the implementation of training programs for all Olympic sports.
After graduating from ORU, Garza served as a strength and conditioning intern for the Golden Eagles during the summer of 2016.
A native of Humble, Texas, he attended Oral Roberts University, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team from 2011-2016.
Garza earned his bachelor’s degree from ORU in the spring of 2016 in sports management.
Garza is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also is CPR/AED certified.
