Victoria Marquez, MS, LAT, ATC, was promoted to the role of assistant athletic trainer in May 2021 after joining the ORU staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2019 and primarily works with the men’s soccer program.

She came to ORU after graduating from the University of New Mexico in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. With the Lobos program, Marquez worked with the football, soccer, track & field and women’s basketball programs. She added a Master of Science degree from ORU in Sports and Leisure Administration in May 2021.

Marquez has experience with XMED, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, where she worked with the XMED Inc. medical staff at the Red Bull Last Stand. She also has experience working the USA Track & Field Championships in October 2018. In February 2016, she was a part of the athletic training staff for the Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships. She also assisted at the Gildan New Mexico Bowl in December 2016.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is certified by the American Heart Association in first aid and CPR.
