Jacob Garvin joined the ORU Sports Performance staff in June 2025 and currently oversees Women’s Basketball and Volleyball. He comes to ORU from Stanford University, where he served as the Assistant Sports Performance Coach for both Men’s and Women’s Basketball during the 2024–25 season.
While at Stanford, Garvin also directed all aspects of sports performance for the Sailing, Fencing, and Women’s Rowing programs. Prior to that, he was an Intern Sports Performance Coach at Southern Methodist University (SMU), working with Men’s and Women’s Basketball as well as Volleyball. He also gained experience in the private sector with Exos, a leading performance training organization.
Earlier in his career, Garvin interned for the University of Houston Men’s Basketball team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies and a Master’s in Athletic Training, both from Baylor University.
