Talia Pogi joins the ORU women's basketball staff in 2026-27 as a graduate assistant, returning to the program where she began her college career.
Pogi supports the Golden Eagles on both the analytics and player development sides. She charts practice and tracks team efficiency data through Synergy, producing shooting charts and weekly reports for the coaching staff, and helps break down practice groups. She sits in on film sessions alongside the assigned coaches, works with the program's practice squad, and assists with on-campus recruiting visits, game day operations and the program's social media.
A guard, Pogi spent her freshman season at ORU in 2022-23, appearing in 18 games for the Golden Eagles. She scored a seasonhigh eight points at Oklahoma in November and logged a season-high 21 minutes against Central Christian before transferring to Central Oklahoma.
She played three seasons at Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II program in the MIAA, appearing in all 28 games in each of her first two years with the Bronchos. Her junior season in 2024-25 was her breakout. Pogi started 27 of 28 games, led the team at 32.2 minutes per game and averaged 10.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists. She reached double figures 13 times, including a career-high 21 points against Newman, 20 against Arkansas-Fort Smith, 19 against Fort Hays State and 18 against Rogers State, where she also recorded a career-high five steals. She entered her senior year as the Bronchos' leading returning scorer.
As a sophomore in 2023-24, Pogi played in all 28 games with five starts in her first season at UCO, scoring 104 total points and earning a spot on the MIAA Honor Roll. Pogi appeared in 27 games as a senior in 2025-26, playing for a new coaching staff at UCO, and closed out a four-year playing career that spanned 101 games across two programs.
A graduate of Mustang High School, Pogi earned All-Conference and All-State honors and scored more than 1,000 career points, helping the Broncos win area and regional championships and finish as state runner-up. She was also named homecoming queen as a senior in 2022.
Pogi earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Central Oklahoma and is pursuing a master's in sports management at ORU. She is the daughter of Aso and Tabitha Pogi and has a younger brother, Tyson.
