Noel Carpio enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Oral Roberts volleyball program after joining the staff in 2021. In his current role, Carpio oversees recruiting, player development, opponent scouting, data analytics and statistics along with assisting with day-to-day operations.

In his first season, Carpio helped ORU to their best record since 2016 as the Golden Eagles finished with an 18-11 mark and advanced to the Summit League Volleyball Championship Semifinals. While overseeing the offense, the Golden Eagles ranked 55th in the nation in hitting efficiency. In addition, Carpio coached setter Bryanne Soares to 1,007 assists in the 2021 campaign.

In the summer of 2022, Carpio was named to the U.S. Girls U19 National Team staff as the Head of Delegations. While on staff, the team went undefeated in international play (5-0), captured the gold at the 2022 Pan American Cup and qualified for the 2023 FIVB World Championship.

He came to the Golden Eagles after spending the 2020 campaign at Milwaukee where he was responsible for team travel, opponent scouting, statistical analysis and technical coordinating. In addition, he aided with recruiting, player development and day-to-day operations.

With the Panthers, he assisted in coaching two athletes that earned All-Horizon League honors as Milwaukee finished the 2020 season in the top half of the conference with a .571 winning percentage and improved its RPI ranking by double digits.

Prior to Milwaukee, Carpio worked as the volunteer assistant coach at Creighton under head coach Kirsten Bernthal-Booth and was part of the BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year in 2019. He assisted in scouting, practice planning, on-court training, team travel and game day operations with the Bluejays.

In the two seasons Carpio was on staff, Creighton finished 54-11 overall and 35-1 in league play, earning a pair of regular season titles as well as the 2018 BIG EAST Tournament Championship. The Bluejays were ranked in the top 25 poll every week while he was on staff.

Prior to his time at Creighton, he served as both the Indoor and Beach Volleyball manager at Arizona. He also served as head coach, recruiting coordinator and technical advisor for the Southern Arizona Volleyball Academy (SAVA) for three years.

Carpio also was one of 10 recipients of the 2017 American Volleyball Coaches Association Diversity Award, an honor he shared with ORU head coach Frank Craig III.

He earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree in Social Behavior and Human Understanding from Arizona in 2018.
