Andrea Messenger, MS, LAT, ATC, MSKS DN-1, joined the ORU Sports Medicine Department in March of 2022 and will cover volleyball along with cross country and track and field.

Prior to joining the Golden Eagle staff, Messenger served as an intern in the Sports Medicine department at the University of Tulsa. During her time at TU, Messenger was the primary contact for women's rowing and assisted with football. Messenger was responsible for overseeing initial and annual athlete documentation needed for physicals along with submitting data to the NCAA Datalys Injury Surveillance Program.

Messenger obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology and Kinesiology: Exercise Fitness Management in 2019 and Master of Athletic Training in 2021 from the University of Central Oklahoma. While at the University of Central Oklahoma, Messenger was a four-year member of the women's rowing team that won the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Division II National Championships.
