WICHITA, Kan. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team dropped a 7-0
decision to Wichita State on Friday morning at Genesis Health
Club.
The ORU duo of
Igor Sobolta (Kiev, Ukraine) and
Mikhail Trukshanin
(Minsk, Belarus) opened play with an 8-6 victory over Wichita
State's Vlad Marinescu and Sven Kasper at the No. 1 doubles
position, but the Golden Eagles dropped matches at the remaining
two spots to drop the opening point.
The Golden Eagles fell in straight sets at five of the six singles
positions, as Trukshanin dropped a hard-fought 6-7(2), 6-4, 1-0(4)
match to Valentin Mihai at the No. 2 spot.
ORU returns to play on Feb. 26 at Lamar.
