Golden Eagles Drop Summit League Opener to IUPUI, 4-2

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team opened Summit League play with a 4-2 loss to IUPUI on Friday at the Indianapolis Tennis Center.

The Golden Eagles dropped the doubles point after losses at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Mikhail Trukshanin and Igor Sobolta scored the lone doubles win for ORU with an 8-3 victory over Bren Vasalakis and Jorge Yunes at the top spot.

ORU retook the lead as Sobolta and Trukshanin posted straight-set victories at the top two positions to open singles play.

The Jaguars stormed back, recording the final three victories at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 spots to clinch the match.

The Golden Eagles resume play at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday against Centenary.
