Oral Roberts University head coach Misti Cussen is proud to announce four additions to the 2014-15 Golden Eagle women's basketball roster. Jasauen Beard, Jordan Doyle, Jordan Gilbert and Jayden Oliver signed National Letters of Intent to join the Golden Eagles next season.

"Our staff is so excited about the signing of these young women, as they have the opportunity to be a very special class during their time here at ORU," said Cussen. "They each have a unique story on how and why they have chosen ORU, and I can't wait to experience the impact that they will make on our program."

Beard hails from Oklahoma City, where she is a standout performer for Midwest City High School. She was an all-conference and all-state selection in 2012-13 and led Midwest City to a OSSAA state runner-up appearance last season. A 5-11 forward, Beard is the daughter of Darrick and Sharhonda Beard.

"Jasauen's length, speed, and athleticism make her a prototypical power guard in our system," said Cussen. "Her work ethic coupled with her charisma will make her a fan favorite, and we just can't wait to get her to Tulsa."

Doyle is from Broken Arrow and is currently a senior at Broken Arrow High School. A 5-6 point guard, Doyle averaged 26.7 points per game as a sophomore, when she played for Will Rogers High School. At Will Rogers, Doyle was named the school's Female Athlete of the Year each of the last two years. She is the daughter of Keith and Katrina Doyle.

"Jordan has a unique combination of power and skill," said Cussen. "She has great court sense and the ability to put the ball where it needs to be while at top speed, but she can be a scorer when needed as seen by her previous high school statistics. There are a lot of dimensions to her game."

Gilbert is a Midwest City native and plays prep basketball at Carl Albert High School. A 5-10 guard, Gilbert led Carl Albert to an OSSAA state runner-up finish in 2012-13, and a state semifinal appearance in 2011-12. She is the daughter of Darrell Gilbert and Carmell Howell.

"When we first saw Jordan play, we immediately recognized that she would have a huge upside in our system," said Cussen. "With her speed, length and leaping ability, she can play multiple perimeter positions. Getting to know her personally confirmed that we had to have her here at ORU. She is going to be a joy to coach over the next four years."

Oliver is a native of Oklahoma City, where she plays high school basketball for Putnam City High School. She was an all-state selection last season and has been an all-conference honoree in each of the last two seasons. The 5-7 guard led Putnam City to a district championship last season. She is the daughter of Micah and Shandalyn Oliver

"Jayden has been a multi-sport athlete at her high school up until now, and I believe her ceiling is very high as she becomes a full-time basketball player," said Cussen. "She comes from a basketball family that has spent a lot of time in the gym, resulting in her high IQ for the game and maturity on the floor as a combo guard. The first time I saw Jayden play, she hit the game-winner and you could just see and feel the contagious confidence she possesses."

"As thrilled as we are to gain the athleticism, skill, and competitiveness that this class possesses, we are even more excited about who they are off of the court," said Cussen. "We can't wait to get them here on campus with us next summer."

The Golden Eagles are 1-1 on the 2013-14 season and play at Arkansas on Wednesday night. ORU won 18 games a season ago, capturing the Southland Conference regular season and tournament championships and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in program history.
