The Short Story: The Oral Roberts men's tennis team dominated Omaha Saturday with a 7-0 shutout at the Philcrest Hills Tennis Center on Senior Day.
Senior Braxton Bates and junior Michael Sosnowski helped the Golden Eagles get off to a hot start with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. The duo of Bates and Sosnowski continued their impressive doubles play to move to 12-4 on the season and 9-1 in their last 10 matches.
Sosnowski also continued his solid singles play with his fourth straight victory at No. 5 singles. The win was also his team best 14th win.
The top of the ORU lineup was also solid as Barnabas Koncz and Jan Pehnec earned wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. The win was the 13th for Pehnec while Koncz improved to 12-9.
Up Next: The Golden Eagles take the week off before heading to The Summit League Tournament April 29 in Omaha.
