Match 1: Oral Roberts 3 – Lamar 4
Location: Tulsa, Okla. – Philcrest Tennis Club 

TULSA, Okla. – The Lamar men's tennis team, after competing in the NCAA Tournament last season and finishing nationally ranked, edged the Oral Roberts men's tennis team 4-3 Sunday morning at Philcrest Tennis Club.

ORU claimed the doubles point in Sunday's action by winning the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Barnabas Koncz and Amar Saletovic won 6-3 in the No. 2 doubles position and Michael Sosnowski and Alvaro Santamaria won 7-6 at the No. 3 position. The Golden Eagles also claimed victories at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles positions. Jan Pehnec defeated his opponent at the No. 3 position 6-3, 7-5. Amar Saletovic won the No. 4 position 6-1, 6-2. Lamar opened its season as a participant in the ITA kickoff weekend.

Up Next: ORU will travel to Arlington, Texas, to compete against Prairie View A&M on Saturday, February 18 at 10 a.m.
