LAWRENCE, Kan. – Freshman Tierney Coleman scored a career high 16 points as the Oral Roberts women's basketball team fell, 100-59, Sunday afternoon at Kansas.
 
ORU started the game strong shooting 41 percent from the field that was highlighted by three, three-point buckets, including one from Regan Schumacher who connected on her first career long-shot. Although, ORU trailed after the first 10 minutes by two, the Golden Eagles got down by as much as 32 in the second before ORU broke the 30-0 Jayhawk run.  The Golden Eagles were scoreless for 8:07 until Ariel Walker hit one of two free-throws. ORU was out-scored 39-3 in the second.
 
Kansas continued its hot shooting from the field with a 56 percent average in the fourth quarter. The Golden Eagles went on a 7-0 run in the fourth that was capitalized by a Walker three-point shot. ORU continued to a 15-2, 8-0 run over 4:09.
 
The Golden Eagles out-scored the Jayhawks, 19-10, in the final period. The defense forced Kansas to shoot 23.5 percent from the field. Three Golden Eagles shot in double-figures as Walker shot 50 percent, 5-for-10, from the field.

Oral Roberts: Tierney Coleman scored 16 points and Regan Schmacher collected eight rebounds.
Kansas: Julie Brosseau scored 25 points and Ioanna Chatzileonti grabbed 14 boards.
