TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's tennis team fell to Lamar, 6-1, Friday afternoon in Beaumont, Texas.

Andrea Vasiljevic and Rai Sengupta got things started with a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles. It came down to No. 1 doubles, but ORU felt short with a 7-6 score to lose the point.

"Tough loss for the ladies today," Head Coach Mark Milner said. "We felt like we let one slip. We lost a tough doubles points with it coming down to No. 1 doubles and ultimately lost it, 6-7. In singles, we started well winning four first sets, but were only able to pull one match out. We're looking forward to getting back on the court tomorrow against PVAMU.

ORU won four first sets in singles play. Regan Miley claimed the only point in singles action with a three-set victory, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.

Up Next: ORU will face Prairie View A&M at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 15 at 10 a.m.
