TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team fell short to North Dakota, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.

ORU claimed the doubles point and took an early 1-0 advantage. Geronimo Espin Busleiman and Barnabas Koncz continued their winning streak to 10-1 with a 6-3 win at the No. 1 spot. Mert Celik and Eddy Leardini clinched the point with a 6-3 victory at No. 3.

"It was a disappointing loss today," Head Coach Mark Milner said. "Anytime we are up in the doubles points and four first sets at home we feel like we are going to win the match, but credit North Dakota for how hard they fought."

The Golden Eagles took leads in four first sets of singles action. North Dakota tied it, 1-1, with a win at No. 5, but Eddy Leardini gave ORU a 2-1 lead with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 6. Geronimo Espin Busleiman made a 3-2 match with win in with a tiebreak in both sets one and two, 7-6, 7-5. After it was a 3-3 dual score, it came down to Mert Celik at No. 4. Celik won the first set in a 7-6 tiebreak, but then fell in both sets two and three in a close 7-5, 7-6 tiebreak.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will play Coastal Carolina Monday, March 16 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
