VERMILLION, S.D. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team fell 77-54 Saturday afternoon at South Dakota.
South Dakota started the game on a 9-0 run until
Ariel Walker broke the run with a fast break layup for her first points of the game four minutes in. The run was extended to 12-2 by the Coyotes, who shot 57 percent in the first. South Dakota led after the first 10 minutes, 23-8.
The Golden Eagles trailed 43-17 at halftime as South Dakota continued to shoot 45-plus percent from the field. ORU out-scored the Coyotes in the third quarter, 21-20, and came to within 22 points with 3:57 to play. Overall, South Dakota shot 47.3 percent from the field in the game to win, 77-54.
Walker tied her career high with four made three's in the game as she scored 14 points. ORU shot 29 percent from the field as the team suffered its fifth-consecutive loss and seventh league setback.

Oral Roberts:
Tierney Coleman scored 15 points and four Golden Eagles recorded five rebounds in the game.
South Dakota: Hannah Sjerven captured 21 points and Jeniah Ugofsky grabbed nine rebounds.
