TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team advanced to 5-0, tying the best start to a season in program history, with a 2-0 win over Kansas City Saturday afternoon at the Case Soccer Complex.
ORU got on the board first to take a 1-0 lead in the 30
th minute.
Reed Berry crossed the ball from left to right over to
Eugene Quaynor inside the penalty area who passed the ball back to the middle to
Dante Brigida for the goal. It was Brigida's fourth goal of the season and Berry and Quaynor were credited with assists. The assists by Berry and Quaynor's were their second on the season each. It was also Brigida's first game-winning-goal of the season.
Kansas City came out of the gate aggressive creating three first half shots on creating three saves for ORU goalkeeper
Miles Motakef who played all 90 minutes in the game and totaled four saves. The Golden Eagle keeper is 5-0 on the season in goal.
The Golden Eagles added their second goal of the game in the 75
th minute when Brigida centered the in the middle of the penalty area to Berry who recorded his second goal of the season to life ORU past Kansas, 2-0. It was Brigida's second assist on the season.
