TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts men's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over Southwestern Tuesday afternoon at the LaFortune Tennis Center.
 
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead by winning all three positions in doubles play. Volodymyr Zakharov and Marcello Moreira won 6-1 at No. 1. Albert Chudy and Andre Russo claimed a 6-4 victory at No. 2, followed by a 6-1 win at No. 3 by Eddy Leardini and Jonathan Evans.
 
In singles action, the Golden Eagles won five of the six matches. Zakharov, Russo, and Scott Hjelm all played three-set matches. Zakharov won No. 1, 2-6, 7-5, 10-5. Russo won 6-2, 6-7, 10-6 at No. 4, while Hjelm won 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 6. Albert Chudy won his two sets at No. 3, 6-0, 6-2. Leardini claimed the point at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
