TULSA, Okla. – It's the final weekend of action as the Oral Roberts volleyball team heads to Omaha to take on the Mavericks for two Summit League matches March 26 and 27 from Baxter Arena.

OPENING SERVE
•ORU faces an Omaha squad that sits fourth in The Summit League standings and holds the final spot for the conference tournament. The Golden Eagles are 6-10 in the all-time series with the Mavericks after a split a season ago.

•Libero Sarah Thiessen and outside hitter Aixa Vigil were named Summit League Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week Feb. 9 for their efforts leading the Golden Eagles to two road wins over the Leathernecks.

•ORU remains the top serving team in The Summit League and 28th in the NCAA totaling 103 service aces as five players have reached double digits led by Vigil's 20.

•The Golden Eagles utilize a three-person attack as all three have crossed the century mark in kills. Aixa Vigil leads the team with 186 (3.2 per set), while Kaia Dunford (2.6 per set) and Jaxie Wakley (2.4 per set) have 165 and 153, respectively.

•Thiessen is third in the league and 39th in the nation totaling 303 digs as the redshirt junior has reached double figures in every outing, including seven, 20+ dig performances with a career-best 36 Feb. 8. Her 36 digs remains the most by anyone in The Summit League.

•Vigil has posted eight double-doubles on the year and reached double-digit kills 10 times with a pair of 21-kill efforts against North Dakota and South Dakota.

•Wakley and Sakira LaCour have excelled at the net posting 58 and 50 blocks, respectively, ranking fourth and seventh in the league. As a team, ORU ranks second in the conference putting away 115 total blocks.

•Setters Bryanne Soares and Sylvia Lawson have combined for 11.8 assists per set. Soares had a 54-assist effort Feb. 15 and hit double digits assists in 13 of 15 matches, while Lawson has 10 outings reaching double digits.

•ORU was predicted to finish seventh in The Summit League standings following a quarterfinal exit at last year's conference championships.

•Head Coach Frank Craig III added six players in his first recruiting class with the Golden Eagles as four freshmen and two junior college transfers joined the program. Kaia Dunford (Waimanalo, Hawaii), Chloe Salcedo (Garland, Texas), Bryanne Soares (Kapolei, Hawaii) and Jaxie Wakley (Broken Arrow, Oklahoma) enter the collegiate ranks for the first time. Rami Mose (Compton, California) and Aixa Vigil (Surquillo, Peru) made the move to ORU after starting in junior college.
