TULSA, Okla. – A slow offensive day doomed the Oral Roberts baseball team as they fell 2-0 to Houston Baptist in the series finale.
Adam Oviedo led the way offensively for the Golden Eagles, picking up two hits in the ballgame. Oviedo singled in the second and seventh innings to provide two of the three Golden Eagle hits on the afternoon.
Evan Kowalski threw four scoreless innings in relief for ORU. Through his four innings of action, the sophomore allowed just one hit, while only walking one.
Bradan Pierce worked a scoreless ninth inning of action to close out the afternoon.
Turning Point
In the second inning, Houston Baptist strung together four consecutive base hits, which led to a pair of runs. From there, the Huskies would hold their 2-0 lead for the remainder of the afternoon.

- Oviedo's two-hit day was his eighth multi-hit game of the season.
- Jake McMurray extended his reached base streak to 24 games with a base hit on Sunday.
- McMurray also has the longest active hitting streak for the Golden Eagles with five games.
