STILLWATER, Okla. –  Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains. The Oral Roberts baseball team learned this lesson on Tuesday when their game with the No. 10 Oklahoma State Cowboys was rained out in the fifth inning. The game was determined to be a halted contest that will not be resumed or completed at a later date.

The Cowboys struck in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead over the Golden Eagles.

Joshua Cox tied the game at one in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning, scoring Ryan Cash from third.

Turning Point
Lightning struck nearby O'Brate Stadium in the bottom of the fifth inning and the rains quickly followed.

• The stats from Tuesday's game will not count towards season totals.
• Hunter Swift made his first pitching appearance of the season for ORU, getting the start on Tuesday night.
