KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Oral Roberts men's soccer team returned to Summit League play Saturday evening and claimed a 3-1 win at Kansas City.
Twelve minutes into the match, ORU took an early 1-0 lead.
Felipe D'Agostini put the Golden Eagles up early, 1-0, with his second goal of the season. D'Agostini sent a header to the upper corner from the left side about 15 yards out. ORU had three shots on goal in the first 45 minutes. Kansas City tied the game, 1-1, in the 34
th minute with goal by Samuel Nagy from 12 yards out.
Reed Berry earned his second goal of the season to make it 2-1 in the 60
th minute. Berry took the ball down the right side off a pass from D'Agostini. He then dribbled through defenders in the penalty area to score from eight yards out. Berry's goal was ultimately the deciding factor. D'Agostini was credited with an assist.
Shane Anderson captured his second goal of the season in the 72
nd minute and gave ORU a 3-1 lead. Anderson received a pass from D'Agostini and then sent a shot into the goal from 18 yards out. D'Agostini earned his second assist of the night.
