LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team picked up their first win of the Kelsi Musick era Wednesday afternoon as they defeated Little Rock, 74-62, in a wire-to-wire victory on the road inside the Jack Stephens Center.
Hannah Cooper led the charge with a near triple-double as the senior finished with a game-high 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. The double-double was the first of Cooper's Golden Eagle career.
Ariel Walker and Delaney Nix joined Cooper in double figures with 20 and 14, respectively. Walker's 20 points were a career-high for a senior as the Ozark, Arkansas, native finished 8-of-15 from the field and also pulled down nine rebounds.
The Golden Eagles jumped on top :34 ticks into the contest on a Walker jumper and later opened their largest lead of the period, 7-2, following a Ruthie Udoumoh bucket with 5:48 showing on the clock. ORU went on to outscore the Trojans 17-13 in the quarter led by eight points from Cooper.Â
Leading 23-19 in the second, the Golden Eagles used an 8-2 run to push their advantage into double-figures, 31-21, at the 4:03 mark. Back-to-back three-pointers by Nix and Walker capped off the stretch for ORU. Nix netted the final basket of the half with her third three of the period to put the Golden Eagles up 37-26 at the break. The two sides went scoreless over the final 2:37 of the quarter.
In the third, the Trojans used a 9-2 stretch to cut the ORU lead down to two, 44-42, with 3:08 left in the period. Following a timeout by the Golden Eagles, Walker stopped the surge with a layup and Cooper followed with one of her own to push their lead back to six, 48-42, at the 2:04 mark. After a Trojans basket, the Golden Eagles used a 6-0 run over the final 1:35 to take a 54-44 advantage into the fourth.
A 13-3 run gave ORU its largest lead of the contest, 70-52, with 2:54 left on the clock. A pair of free throws by Walker sparked the run and Cooper capped it off with a pair of her own. The Golden Eagles were a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe during the scoring run. Despite the Trojans registering 10 of the final 14 points, the Golden Eagles went on to pick up their first win of the season, 74-62.

Oral Roberts: Cooper's near triple-double led the charge for the Golden Eagles as the senior finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Little Rock: Faith Lee and Toyosi Abiola finished with 16 points apiece to lead the Trojans.

- In the contest, the Golden Eagles held the Trojans to 31.9 percent shooting from the field and 7.7 percent from three.
- ORU shot 43.8 percent from the field and was 12-of-16 from the foul line.
- The Golden Eagles won the battle on the boards, 47-43.
- Udoumoh (4) and Walker (3) combined for all seven Golden Eagle steals in the win.
- Off the bench, Sara Rodrigues contributed with eight points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
- The senior also registered a game-high tying two blocks.
