LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Oral Roberts track and field program opened its 2022-23 indoor season with six event titles at the Bob Timmons Challenge Saturday afternoon at Anschutz Pavilion in Lawrence, Kansas. 
 
News and Notes

• Kevin Jackson captured the gold in both the 60 meter dash (6.81) and 200 meter dash (22.36).
• ORU swept the mile run as Erik Flores Burciaga (4:30.26) and Macey Penner (5:17.34) took home their respective titles. 
• Deborah Mazzei (2:18.42) and Godfrey Chama (1:59.56) claimed their respective titles in the 800 meter race as the Golden Eagles swept their second event of the day.
• Freshman Avery Mazzei placed second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:27.65.
• Mitchell Mefford registered the best finish in the field events for ORU after placing third in the weight throw with a mark of 14.59 meters.
