GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Oral Roberts men's basketball team won its seventh road game in league play Saturday afternoon with an 87-73 victory over North Dakota up north in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
 
ORU had five players score in double-figures Saturday afternoon with four being starters. Max Abmas led the Golden Eagles with 18 and Kareem Thompson followed with 15. Issac McBride captured 14 points and Carlos Jurgens and Francis Lacis each had 10 apiece.
 
A change in the starting lineup saw McBride getting the nod in the team's final league road contest of the season. He provided an offensive start for ORU scoring the first bucket of the game for either team. The first half saw 10 lead changes and the teams tied the game nine times. After being down by one with seconds to play in the opening half, Lacis drilled a three-point bucket to lift ORU to a 35-33 advantage at the break. Both teams shot 41 percent in the first half.
 
After leading by as much as six early in the second half, North Dakota came back to tie the game with 13 minutes left. The Golden Eagles went on an 8-1 run to go up by 10 with 7:38 left. ORU eventually would lead by as much 16 with just under 5 minutes to play. The Golden Eagles shot 57 percent from the field in the second half and recorded 52 points.  
 
Paul Bruns led the Fighting Hawks with 17 points and was one of three to score double-digits for the home team. Brus also had a double-double with 10 rebounds. Matt Norman scored 16 and Ethan Igbanugo had 15. North Dakota went 20-for-26 from the free-throw line.
 
Turning Point
After UND tied the game seven minutes into the second half, the Golden Eagles sparked an 8-1 run to pull away. ORU maintained a double-digit lead through the last six minutes of the game.

Individual Leaders
Oral Roberts: Abmas ended the game with 18 points. Elijah Lufile and McBride each had six rebounds.

North Dakota State: Bruns led the Fighting Hawks with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Inside the Box Score
- The Golden Eagles scored 48 points in the paint compared to UND's 20. ORU's bench production secured 20 points.
 
- ORU 48.4 percent from the field and 23.3 percent from beyond the arc.
 
- NDSU shot 50.9 percent overall and 31.6 percent from long range.
 
- ORU was out-rebounded by UND, 40-35. The Golden Eagles secured six offensive rebounds.

- For his 23rd consecutive game, Abmas had 10-plus points. He went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line.
 
- The Golden Eagles tied their season low in turnovers only committing four. All four of the team's turnovers came in the second half.   
 
- McBride has scored in double-figures in 12 consecutive games.
