LINCOLN, Neb. – Despite a career-high five RBIs from
Holden Breeze, the Oral Roberts baseball team fell to Nebraska, 9-5, in their final midweek contest of the season Tuesday night in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Breeze put the Golden Eagles on top in the first, 3-0, with a bases-clearing double down the left-field line. In the bottom half of the frame, the Cornhuskers answered with three of their own to even the score, 3-3.

After Nebraska jumped in front, 6-3, with a three-run third inning, ORU threatened to cut into the deficit in the top of the fourth. The Golden Eagles loaded the bases with two outs but came up empty as
Jake McMurray grounded into a fielder's choice to end the frame.

The Cornhuskers capitalized on the momentum, plating two runs in the bottom half of the fourth to extend their lead, 8-3.

A two-run blast off the bat of Breeze in the sixth trimmed the deficit to three, 8-5. The home run was the second of the season for the redshirt sophomore.

In the seventh, Nebraska plated the final run of the contest to make the final tally 9-5.
