BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Oral Roberts baseball team dropped their regular-season finale to South Dakota State, 7-3, Saturday afternoon in Brookings, South Dakota. The Golden Eagles concluded the regular season with a 35-18 mark.

After a scoreless opening frame, the Jackrabbits jumped on top with a five-run second inning.

Jake McMurray got a run back for the Golden Eagles in the third as the junior launched a solo shot to left, trimming the deficit to 5-1. The home run was the third of the season for McMurray and second of the road trip.

SDSU stretched their advantage to 7-1 after plating a run in both the sixth and seventh frames.

In the eighth, RBI singles from
Jackson Loftin and
Blake Shannon cut the deficit to 7-3 with only one out. Back-to-back strikeouts ended the frame, neutralizing the ORU threat.
The Golden Eagles went down in order in the ninth as they dropped the series finale, 7-3.

Inside the Box Score
- Denny (2-for-4) and Loftin (3-for-4) logged their 23rd and 22nd multi-hit performances of the year, respectively.
- McMurray launched his third homer of the season and second of the road trip.
