TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team dominated from start to finish earning a 112-48 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan on Monday night inside the Mabee Center.
Sophomore guard
Jalei Oglesby led all scorers with a season-high 29 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for her second double-double of the season. Oglesby scored the ball with elite efficiency shooting 14-of-18 from the floor. Oglesby was one of five in double-figures for ORU.
Taleyah Jones (17),
Ruthie Udoumoh (16),
Emily Robinson (15), and
Ashlyn Sage (10) carried the Golden Eagles to the most points scored by a team under
Kelsi Musick. Additionally, Udoumoh pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds as she recorded her second double-double of the year.
ORU opened the game with a sense of urgency on both ends of the floor. A couple of early layups from Robinson and
Hannah Cooper forced a quick timeout by Oklahoma Wesleyan less than four minutes into the contest. OKWU scored on a pair of free throws out of the timeout for its first points of the night. The Golden Eagles maintained constant pressure on the opposing guards, picking up full court and double teaming at midcourt. The stout defense forced the Eagles into nine first quarter turnover of which ORU scored 12 points. Udoumoh matched a season-high four field goals in the first quarter alone as she led the way with eight points. ORU held a 24-10 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.
After a layup in the paint by Robinson to open second quarter scoring, Oglesby torched the nets as she connected on four straight field goals, forcing Heidi Messer to call another timeout. The timeout couldn't slow down the Golden Eagles though, as they went on an 11-0 run between the 6:53 and 4:12 minute mark. Freshman
Gentry Baldwin provided another spark off the bench as the guard drained two triples and forced a steal. ORU scored 33 points in the second quarter alone to take a commanding 57-23 lead into the break.
To open the third quarter, Udoumoh scored ORU's first five points after a putback in the paint and layup and the foul. Jones came alive in the third as she scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting. Jones was getting to whatever spot she wanted while carving up the Eagles defense. At the 9:33 mark, Udoumoh secured her 10th rebound of the game for her second double-double of the season. Midway through the quarter, ORU went on a 7-0 run in less than 60 seconds as they pulled further away from the opposition. The Golden Eagles entered the fourth quarter up 84-36.
Oglesby couldn't be stopped in the fourth quarter as she added 10 more points to her total. Oglesby scored four of the first six ORU points as Sage followed with two threes on the way to a career-high 10 ponts, forcing another quick OKWU timeout. The Golden Eagles maintained a safe distance the remainder of the quarter as they dominated their way to a 112-48 victory.

Gentry Baldwin was a playmaker off the bench dishing out a career-high five assists while Udoumoh pulled down 13 boards en route to her second double-double of the year.
Oklahoma Wesleyan: Gracie Alexander scored a team-high eight points and gathered seven rebounds to lead the way for the Eagles.
