LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Oral Roberts track and field program opened its 2023-24 indoor season with five event titles at the Bob Timmons Challenge Saturday afternoon at Anschutz Pavilion in Lawrence, Kansas. 
 
News and Notes

• Kevin Jackson captured the gold in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.74 seconds.
• ORU swept the mile run as Erik Flores Burciaga (4:23.29) and Rushell Johnson (5:12.87) took home their respective titles. 
• Seth Meyer  (2:18.42) and Hannah Vanderburg (2:23.03) claimed their respective titles in the 800 meter race as the Golden Eagles swept their second event of the day.
• Freshman Jonah Marvine and Andrew Smithwick placed second in their events. Marvine finished the 800 meter run with a time of 2:01.35 while Smithwick finished the mile run with a time of 4:24.25.
• Sophomore Avery Mazzei earned second place in the mile run with a time of 5:18.47.
• Senior Judith Bediako earned second place in the 200 meter dash finishing with a time of 25.49.
