COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The Oral Roberts baseball team saw its eight-game win streak come to an end Saturday afternoon as they fell to North Dakota State, 4-2, at Doc Ross Field.

Saturday's contest marked the 200th of Jake McMurray's Golden Eagle career. The senior became only the fourth player in program history since 1999 to appear in 200 career games.

On the mound, Harley Gollert worked a season-best seven innings and allowed two runs. The Toronto, Ontario, native also struck out four on the day. In relief, Cade Denton suffered the loss after surrendering two runs in an inning of work.

ORU claimed the early lead, 1-0, in the third as McMurray plated Blaze Brothers, who reached on a triple, with an RBI groundout.

The Bison responded in the bottom half of the frame with an RBI groundout of their own to tie the game at 1-1. An inning later, NDSU took its first lead, 2-1, of the day on an RBI single to left.

In the seventh, Matt Hogan evened the game at 2-2 with a solo home run to left-center that cleared the scoreboard. The long ball marked Hogan's team-leading 15th of the season and second in as many games.

Four straight batters reached safely for the Bison in the eighth as they pushed across two runs to take a 4-2 advantage. The Golden Eagles looked to respond in the ninth as they brought the go-ahead run to the plate with only one out but a double play sealed the win for the Bison.
