TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's tennis team fell 7-0 in their season opener Friday afternoon at Tulsa inside the Case Tennis Center.

"Our guys competed extremely well today," said Head Coach Mitch Hallum. "The score does not reflect the actual intensity of each match. A few points here or there would have changed the entire competition. Tulsa is a very good, very talented team and our guys pushed them."

The match opened with doubles play where each ORU duo won two games as Tulsa claimed all three matches.

Ricardo Filho, Eli Brewer, and Cayden Cheek pushed their opponents in singles play. All three players won three sets and two sets, respectively, in their matches as the Golden Hurricane swept singles play.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles are back in action tomorrow as they make the short drive to Norman, Oklahoma to face the Sooners.
