STILLWATER, Okla. – Abraham Chelangam and Ossly Murambidzi led the Oral Roberts Men's Cross Country team to yet another strong showing against the #1 Cowboys and #19 Cowgirls at the Weiss-Crockett Invite on Saturday morning. Chelangam finished in 3rd place with a stellar time of 23:35, setting a new school record in the 8k. Meanwhile, Murambidzi crossed the line in 9th place, with Zoie Kiddy right by her side in 10th.

Chelangam's record-breaking run continues to build his resume as one of the biggest dark horses in November, while Murambidzi and Kiddy showcased the improvement of the squads  depth to compete with the nation's best.

 
News and Notes
- Chelangam is the second ORU runner to dip under the 24-minute barrier since Jonah Lagat's 23:53 record breaking performance at the 2008 Summit League Cross Country Championship  . 
- Chelangam saw his former school record last only 21 days and get shattered the mark by over 17 seconds.
-  The ORU men's scoring five averaged 25:15 on the 8k course, over 13 seconds faster than their team average at the Cowboy Jamboree.
- The ORU women's scoring five averaged 23:07 on the 6k course, six seconds faster than their team average three weeks ago.
