TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts women's basketball team fell to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Thursday night in Stillwater, 68-89.

Ruthie Udoumoh led the Golden Eagles' offensive efforts, racking up 18 points on 8-15 shooting, eight boards and two steals. Emily Robinson wasn't far behind Udoumoh, tallying 13 points, three assists and a steal.

The Cowgirls jumped out to an early 10-4 lead, dominating the paint. After falling into a ten point hole (10-20), Gentry Baldwin made two three-point jumpers to go along with a Tyla Heard layup, cutting the OSU lead to four. Despite an eight point quarter for Baldwin, three straight Cowgirl buckets in the final minute of the first quarter extended the ORU deficit to five (22-27).

The Golden Eagles sparked a 7-2 run to open the second quarter, taking their first lead of the game off a Ruthie Udoumoh tip-in. OSU clapped back, scoring 10 straight points of their own to increase their lead to eight. A seven point, four rebound quarter from Ruthie Udoumoh wasn't enough to give the Golden Eagles the advantage heading into the half (42-50).

A second strong quarter from Ruthie Udoumoh helped the Golden Eagles dominate the paint, as the team scored 18 points in the paint of their 21 in the quarter. 10 points on 5-6 shooting and three boards from Udoumoh helped the Golden Eagles mount a charge but the Cowgirls extended their lead further.

ORU had a difficult fourth quarter, getting outscored 4-17 over the ten minute period. Six turnovers led to the demise of the Golden Eagles as they were handed their first loss of the 2024-25 season.
