PITTSBURG, Kan. – Twelve personal bests were set and Abraham Chelangam ran a new school record in the 3000 meter as the Oral Roberts track and field program competed at the 9th Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic over the weekend.
 
News and Notes

• Chelangam had a day setting a new school record in the 3000 meter run posting a time of 8:03.35. Chelangam broke the school record earlier this year at the Washburn Rust Buster with a time of 8:10.95.
• Chelangam earned two top-10 finishes in the 3000 meter run and the 1 mile run.
• Keithwood Stubbs and Anthony Smith rounded out the remaining top-10 finishes for ORU as Stubbs placed 3rd and Smith placed 7th in the men's high jump.
• In total, there were 12 different personal bests set over the weekend.
• Chelangam, Jonah Marvine, Jaxson Brooks, Alex Leshan Ntiyani, Hannah Vanderburg, Jarrett Ketchmark, Lillian Woolery, Erik Flores Burciaga, Artwell Magake, Zoie Kiddy, and Jayda Kelly all ran personal bests in their respective races.
