TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's tennis team picked up their first win of the season after defeating Prairie View A&M, 6-1, Friday afternoon at the Bernis Duke Tennis Center.

Friday's win is the first of the season and the first of head coach Mitch Hallum's career. Hallum was named the newest head coach of the Golden Eagles back in August of 2023.

The match opened with doubles play where ORU duos Cayden Cheek and Ryan Holloway and Eli and Aaron Brewer defeated their opponents to secure a point for the Golden Eagles.

In singles, ORU captured five of the six matchups. Holloway, the Brewers, Gustavo Pinho, and Ricardo Filho all came away with wins on their respective courts.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles are back in action on March 1st as they travel to Missouri to take on Saint Louis.
