Omaha, Neb. –
The Oral Roberts baseball team ventures up North for their first Summit League road-trip of the season. ORU (1-5 in the Summit League) looks to close the gap on South Dakota State (4-1) and St. Thomas (4-1) in their three-game series in Omaha.

Inside the Series

• Saturday's game will mark the 50th meeting all-time between the two squads. ORU is currently 37-11 since their first faceoff in 2015.

• The Golden Eagles have won nine of the 10 last matchups in Nebraska.

• ORU has not lost back-to-back road games against the Mavericks since March 23-24, 2018.

Quick Hits 
• Kyle Booker has quickly become one of Summit League's premier hitters as the Senior ranks sixth in hits (30), second in On Base Percentage (.459) and tied for seventh in batting average (.333).


• Other league leaders include Alex Rodgers who sit atop the walks and doubles standings with 17 and 10, respectively. Hall leads by seven in the Batters Struck Out Looking category with 19 this season. Additionally, Elijah Rodriguez is tied for first in the league in stolen bases with seven.

• The Golden Eagle offense leads the Summit League in hits, doubles, and walks. Defensively, the Golden Eagles led the League in putouts and fielding percentage.

• Nationally, ORU ranks first in 15th in the country in Fielding Percentage.

Scouting the Opponent
• Tyler Bishop (6-for-14), Drew Lechnir (6-for-11), and Grant Sommers (5-for-11) each recorded a hit in all three games at UNC. Bishop picked up his team-leading sixth double and third home run in the series, while Lechnir and Sommers each increased their average over .300. There are now four Mavericks batting above .300 (min. 40 AB): Bishop (.326), Lechnir (.316), Noah Greise (.313), and Sommers (.303).
 

• Caleb Riedel reached 150 career strikeouts after a 10 K performance against UNC that earned him his second win of the season. He now has three games in his career with at least 10 strikeouts, previously doing so twice in 2023.


• Omaha went 1-3 last week, dropping their only game against Nebraska this season on Tuesday before going 1-2 at Northern Colorado over the weekend. Despite the record, the team's 23 runs last week were its second most in any week this season.
