OMAHA, Neb.– The Oral Roberts baseball team took on the Omaha Mavericks in Game 1 of their three-game set looking to get back on track in Summit League play.
Jakob Hall took the mound for the Golden Eagles, fresh off a complete game shutout, and picked up right where he left off. The junior from Bartlesville continued his domination taking a no-hit bid into the fourth inning.
While the Mavericks were able to keep ORU's offense at bay, Martell Davis would score the game's lone run after a ball hit by Cameron LaLiberte was able to evade the pitcher and pass throughthe second baseman's legs.
Despite the limited offensive production, Hall maintained his composure and fanned eight Mavericks in eight innings of scoreless work.
