TULSA, Okla.– The Oral Roberts baseball team would put complete the two-game series sweep last night over Central Michigan.
ORU would get things started in the top of the second with a RBI single from
Dawson Walls and the Golden Eagles would tally on two more runs after a
Drew Stahl homer and a
Dylan Wipperman single to left field.
CMU would pull within two thanks to a sacrifice-fly but a three-run fourth inning capped off by Wipperman knocking in another RBI and
Martell Davis scoring off a wild pitch to extend the lead to 6-1.
In the fifth, the Chippewas began to mount a comeback, scoring four runs as ORU's lead dwindled to one. However
Kyle Booker would take the momentum back for ORU with two-run homer that bounced off the video board. Davis and Stahl would score runs of their own to build a five-run lead.
CMU would knock a homer of their own to cut the lead to three, but
Dalton Patten would emerge from the bullpen to slam the door for good and secure the 10-7 win for ORU.
