Wichita, Kan.– The Oral Roberts baseball team snapped their four-game losing streak along with avenging their earlier midweek loss to Wichita State.
ORU would strike first in the top of second when former Shocker, David Herring would welcome himself back to Eck Stadium driving in Drew Stahl. The Golden Eagles kept the momentum going, loading the bases and setting the table for Alex Rodgers to launch the first grand slam of his career.
The Shockers were able to plate two runs but an RBI triple by Martell Davis and Rodgers' fifth RBI of the game would be all the offense the ORU pitching staff needed.
Trent Martin, Cale Issacs, and Dalton Patten combined for 3.2 innings of shutout relief as ORU cruised to an 8-3 victory.
