ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Oral Roberts track and field program earned 25 top-10 finishes while distance runner Abraham Chelangam claimed two event titles at the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

News and Notes

• After a dominant performance in the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships, Chelangam showed once again why he is one of the most prolific distance runners in the Summit.
• Chelangam won the 5,000 and 10,000 meter titles and placed third in the 1,500 meter.
• In the 10,000 meter, Chelangam took down a 39-year-old record as he crossed the finish line in a new meet record time of 29:53.02.
• The redshirt freshman set a meet record, school record, and personal bests in all three events he competed in.
• Chelangam's two titles earned him men's Outdoor Track Championship MVP honors, the first Golden Eagle to win the award since 2016. He won this award at the Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships in February, too.
• The Golden Eagles has 25 top-10 finishes between both the men's and women's teams.
• The men's team finished 7th in the championship and the women's team finished 8th.
