SAINT PAUL, Minn.– The Oral Roberts baseball team fell short of completing a late inning rally against Saint Thomas.

The Golden Eagles started off the plating a season-high seven runs in one inning during the opening frame, however the Tommies swung their way back in the game, evening the score with a two-run homer in the bottom of the second.

A Sam Thompson home run gave ORU the lead once again but Saint Thomas answered once again with two homers of their own to take the lead and increased the deficit for the Golden Eagles, scoring off a wild pitch in the eighth.

Down to their final outs, Holden Breeze worked a full count and launched a home run over the left field wall to bring ORU within one however the Tommies would be gifted a called strike three to escape with the win.
