TULSA, Okla.– The Oral Roberts baseball team fell to Omaha in Sunday's series finale after a 14-inning showdown.

The Golden Eagles would get the scoring started in the third inning after Alex Rodgers drove in David Herring off a fielder's choice.

Omaha evened the score in the third but Rodgers scored in the seventh off an error to regain the lead however the Mavericks rallied to send the game into extra innings.

Dalton Patten got the call out of the bullpen to keep the Golden Eagles alive, and the right hander delivered his second clutch outing of the week The junior tossed 4.1 innings of scoreless relief, fanning five Mavericks in the process. 

Ultimately after five extra innings of play, an Omaha homer in the 13th would be enough to prevent an ORU sweep.

Inside the Box Score
-  This marked the first time the Golden Eagles played an extra inning game this season
- Holden Breeze collected his 21st multi-hit game of the season.
- Rodgers extends his hitting streak to 12 games.

-   Patten lowers his ERA at J.L. Johnson Stadium to 1.02 in ten appearances.
-   Hall has now gone 50 days without picking up a losing decision.
-  Breeze now leads the Summit League with 64 hits.
