TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's tennis team went 1-1 during their opening weekend of the 2025 season, facing off against Incarnate Word on Saturday afternoon and Arkansas on Sunday evening.
 
Against Incarnate Word, the pairs of Couy/Filho and Brewer/Evans picked up wins of 6-4 and 6-3 to secure the doubles point for the Golden Eagles.
 
In the singles competition, ORU and UIW split the six matches 3-3, with dominant wins from Eli Brewer (6-2, 6-4), Parv Nage (7-6, 6-2) and Ryan Holloway (6-2, 6-0).

On Sunday, ORU faced off against their first of two power four contests this season, falling 0-4 to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Golden Eagles fell in matches one and three before declaring match two unfinished.
 
The Razorbacks dominated singles play, taking matches one, two and three until the final three matches (four, five and six) were declared unfinished. Before the final three matches were declared unfinished, Ryan Holloway won the first set 6-0 against Brenden Boland while Parv Nage and Johnathan Evans had put up first set fights against Connor Simille and #85 Arthur Bellegy.
