TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Eagles fell to the Omaha Mavericks in three sets at the Mabee Center.
In set one, ORU trailed by as many as 15 points as Omaha never surrendered the lead in a set that was never tied before the Mavericks took control. A 25-17 second-set loss put Oral Roberts in a 2-0 hole in the match, as the Golden Eagles dropped the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set. The Golden Eagles came up short in set three and the match, trailing by as many as seven points as Omaha grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times.
