TULSA, Okla. — Oral Roberts University goalkeeper Eirini Manoukaraki has been selected to represent the Greece U-19 National Team in the upcoming UEFA European World Cup Qualifiers, and will do so as the team captain, a remarkable honor for the 17-year-old standout.

Greece will compete in three group-stage matches:
October 22 vs Austria
October 25 vs England
October 28 vs Estonia

Manoukaraki, a freshman at ORU, has already made a name for herself in the Summit League, where she currently ranks:
2nd in goals allowed (11)
6th in saves (24)
4th in shutouts (4)

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Manoukaraki shared her excitement:

"I'm so excited to represent my national team in this tournament. It's a special feeling to wear my country's colors again and compete at this level. I couldn't have been more ready and I owe a lot to my coaches and teammates at ORU who pushed me and helped me prepare for this challenge."

ORU Women's Soccer Head Coach Austin Risenhoover praised Manoukaraki's leadership and work ethic:

"I couldn't be more excited for Eirini! Not only is she representing Greece, but she's also representing ORU on one of the biggest stages in youth soccer.
